Employee Spotlight Lucy Higgins

| March 3, 2022

MEET LUCY

Associate Director, Recruiting & Fulfillment | Cleveland, OH

We care about our employees, our coworkers, our industry, and most importantly our clients.

What is your role at Array? What is a typical day like for you?

My role at Array is to listen to our client’s needs and match them with the best legal talent in the market today. This involves strategically recruiting, interviewing, and matching qualified legal secretaries, paralegals, and attorneys for temporary and permanent positions with our law firm and corporate legal department clients. The way I spend my days typically varies greatly and is centered around what my clients need that day. The unpredictability has been one of the most rewarding parts of this job.

Why do you do this type of work? What do you like about your job?

I do this work because I like a challenge. It’s a fast-paced environment where there are a lot of moving parts. I enjoy the puzzle of putting the right people with the right clients and watching the relationships develop and thrive over time.

What is an example of your most creative or impactful work? (Tell us about a time you went above and beyond or met a unique challenge)

When Array merged with The Gnoesis Group I was part of the transition team to bring over our existing employees and acclimate them to a new payroll system, new coworkers, and company procedures. This needed to be effectuated while ensuring that our current clients’ needs were met, and projects kicked off without a hitch. This was a great time for me to step up and work closely with my new teammates.

What do you think is the “Array advantage”? Why do clients trust Array?

The Array advantage is trustworthy, hardworking people, who genuinely love the work they do. We care about our employees, our coworkers, our industry, and most importantly our clients.

Describe Array in five words or less.

Innovative, dynamic, flexible, reliable, and collaborative.

What did you do before Array? How do you apply that experience to your work today?

Before joining Array, I worked for The Gnoesis Group in a similar role. The Gnoesis Group laid a great foundation for me to grow professionally and develop a diverse skill set that I continue to utilize today to serve Array’s clients. I bring a unique perspective to recruiting and staffing having held a variety of jobs in the legal field, working as both a legal secretary and legal assistant prior to becoming an attorney.

What are you most likely up to when you are off-the-clock?

I am likely spending time with my family, cooking, doing yoga or reading.

What is something that would surprise people about you?

That I was born in England.

What is the most recent thing you learned about or taught yourself to do? (does not have to be work related)

I am constantly learning new things. Recently I taught myself to make homemade bagels and have decided to take up origami!
