My career in this industry started almost by accident when I joined Commonwealth Legal, one of Canada's earliest legal services and eDiscovery providers. What began as an opportunity to return to a technology-focused company evolved into a career spanning legal technology, eDiscovery, professional services and business leadership. Following Commonwealth Legal's acquisition by Ricoh, I led Technology & Emerging Solutions, helping clients navigate an increasingly complex legal technology landscape.
Most recently, I was a Principal at Fides essociates, a services-focused fractional resource collective supporting service providers, law firms, corporations, and government organizations. Along the way, I've remained deeply engaged in the Canadian legal technology community and this year became Vice President of the ACEDS Toronto Chapter.
I've long admired Array, both for the calibre of work being done here and for the exceptional people who make it happen. Many of the people I trust and have achieved great results alongside throughout my career are already part of the team. When the opportunity to lead Strategic Growth in Canada arose, it felt like the natural next chapter.
The biggest lesson I've learned is that growth is never just a sales function. Sustainable growth happens when sales, operations, and service delivery are aligned around a shared understanding of client needs and business objectives.
I've also learned that trust is at the center of every successful business. Trust with clients builds long-term partnerships, while trust within teams creates the confidence needed to move quickly, solve problems, and deliver meaningful results.
High-performing teams share a clear sense of purpose and genuine trust in one another. They're willing to raise challenges early, collaborate across functions, and focus on outcomes instead of operating in silos.
In my experience, the strongest teams are the ones where people feel ownership over outcomes, not just tasks. Leadership's role is to create the conditions for people to do their best work and succeed together.
Legal teams today expect more than technology. They expect partners who understand their business, not just their immediate matter or project. Cost predictability, risk reduction, and defensibility were once meaningful differentiators. Today, they're table stakes.
Clients are looking for trusted partners who can bring expertise, resources, consistency, and sound judgment alongside technology. They want confidence that their partner understands the complexities of their needs and can deliver under pressure.
A few things came together at once. Array has built genuine differentiation in the market through its emphasis on white-glove services and partnership, not simply technology alone.
I also saw an opportunity to build on meaningful momentum already underway in Canada rather than starting from scratch. Just as important, I would be joining a team that includes many professionals I've trusted and collaborated with throughout my career, which made the decision a natural one.
What stands out to me about Array is the belief that service is a true differentiator, not simply a function that supports technology.
Many providers compete primarily on technology and pricing. While those elements matter, they can sometimes come at the expense of the client relationship and the strategic guidance that comes from experienced service delivery. Array brings together the best of both: strong delivery expertise and technology-enabled solutions, all grounded in an exceptional client experience. That combination creates lasting value for clients, particularly as the volume and complexity of data continue to accelerate.
The Canadian legal technology community is incredibly engaged and relationship driven. This industry is built on trust that is earned over years of collaboration, not individual transactions.
My involvement with organizations such as ACEDS Toronto and Women in eDiscovery has reinforced the importance of investing in people, sharing expertise, and strengthening our professional community. Many of the most meaningful opportunities in my career have been shaped by those long-standing relationships, and it's a privilege to contribute to that community today.
I'm excited about the opportunity to build alongside a talented team and help shape the next chapter of Array's growth in Canada.
There's already tremendous momentum within the business, and I see significant opportunities to expand our presence, deepen client partnerships, and bring Array's unique combination of expertise, technology, and service to even more organizations across the Canadian market.
I'm a mom to a teenage son, which keeps life both busy and grounded. I grew up in Alberta and have lived in Nova Scotia and Ontario before settling in Toronto, giving me a deep appreciation for the diversity of communities across Canada.
I love cooking, experimenting with new recipes, and I've recently rediscovered my passion for biking. Whenever possible, I also prioritize travel, both across Canada and abroad.
I'm an avid concert-goer with musical tastes that span many genres. Live music and comedy are a regular part of my life, and you'll usually find me at a show at least once a month.
Andrea's deep roots in the Canadian legal community, combined with her extensive experience driving growth, building teams, and cultivating trusted client relationships, make her an outstanding addition to Array. As we continue investing in the Canadian market, we're excited to have her leadership helping shape the next phase of our growth and strengthening the support we provide to legal professionals across the country.
