One year ago, Phil Saunders shared Relativity’s long-term vision for the platform, including the eventual retirement of Relativity Server. The most recent update builds on that message and highlights several practical considerations clients should be aware of:

• There is no requirement to migrate active matters
• Server environments must operate on the then current version of Relativity Server

Relativity will increase pricing for Relativity ServerNone of these changes require immediate action — but they do reinforce the importance of having a thoughtful plan.

What This Does Not Require 

It’s worth addressing a few common misconceptions we’re already hearing in the market.

This does not mean:

• You need to migrate immediately
• You must abandon Relativity Server tomorrow
• Every environment should move on the same timeline
• There is only one “right” path forward

Relativity Server remains a viable platform today, and for many organizations, it will continue to be the right solution in the near term.
