Objectives

  • Support a law firm client in managing a Collections matter for a global pharmaceutical client by providing specialized eDiscovery expertise through Array’s Canadian team.
  • Supplement the law firm’s limited IT resources by leading the data collection process.
  • Expand the initial ~50GB dataset to a more comprehensive and defensible ~650GB dataset in response to evolving case requirements.

Our Solution

  • Array’s Canadian eDiscovery team extracted data (642GB) from 23 Email Accounts(.pst files) and SharePoint drives.
  • Using email threading, de-NISTing and deduplication, our team was able to reduce the document count from 5.7M to 500k.
  • AI-based Active Learning technology was used to further reduce documents, after which 73k were identified as not needing eyes-on review.
