MEET DAN DEAL

Senior Vice President | Review Services | Indianapolis, Indiana

I enjoy the challenge of this work…

What is your role at Array? What is a typical day like for you?

My role is to continue expanding new and existing client relationships, and to help others within our organization begin winning document review projects.

Why do you do this type of work? What do you like about your job?

I enjoy the challenge of this work and the relationships I’ve made in the industry over the last 2 decades.

What is an example of your most creative or impactful work? (Tell us about a time you went above and beyond or met a unique challenge)

Perhaps the most interesting and creative project I was a part of involved a government-led investigation into professional sports.  I directed the deployment of onsite document review teams in 20+ cities to perform a synchronized review within a very tight timeline.

What do you think is the “Array advantage”? Why do clients trust Array?

I’m still learning this, but I believe it’s because Array does the right thing for the client in every situation, and because the company’s size and ownership structure allows us to be more flexible and responsive to client needs.

Describe Array in five words or less.

Client relationships above all else.

What did you do before Array? How do you apply that experience to your work today?

I’ve done the same thing for 15 years now, so everything I do is the product of my previous experiences and focus within this industry.

What are you most likely up to when you are off-the-clock?

Enjoying time with my wife, kids and chocolate labs.

What is something that would surprise people about you?

My secret is being a good listener and asking a lot of questions.  A successful meeting for me is when my client does most of the talking.

What is the most recent thing you learned about or taught yourself to do? (does not have to be work related)

I’d say recently that it’s patience and humility that I’ve been working on the most.
